The service

FixMP4 is a browser-based tool that attempts to repair damaged MP4, MOV and M4A media files by rebuilding their index and header. Processing happens on your own device. A free diagnosis and a repaired preview are available to everyone; exporting complete repaired files requires an active paid subscription.

No guarantee of recovery

Data recovery depends on how much of the original data survived. We do not guarantee that any particular file can be repaired. The free preview exists so that you can check the result on your own file before paying. Always keep the original damaged file; FixMP4 never modifies it.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Plans are billed in advance, monthly ($9) or yearly ($29), through Polar.sh as merchant of record. Prices may include or exclude taxes depending on your location.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account page; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Refunds are handled under our refund policy.

Acceptable use

Only process files you have the right to process. Do not attempt to circumvent the export restriction, resell access, or disrupt the service.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, footage, revenue or other indirect damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
